Facility & Quality Control
Our consolidation, processing, and QC infrastructure for commodities sourced across Sumatra.
Processing & Storage Facility
Our consolidation facility operates out of our Kota Padang operations hub. The site handles the full post-harvest workflow for commodities sourced across Sumatra: receiving, cleaning, sorting, drying, grading, and packaging of agricultural commodities, before dispatch overland to Belawan Port (Medan, North Sumatra) for export.
The layout is designed for efficient batch processing with clear separation between raw material intake zones and finished goods storage. This prevents cross-contamination and supports full batch-level traceability throughout the processing chain.
Quality Control Process
Every batch follows a documented five-stage QC workflow before export clearance.
Receiving & Inspection
Raw materials are inspected on arrival. Each incoming lot undergoes a visual check for foreign matter, insect damage, and mold. Non-conforming batches are rejected at the gate and documented.
Cleaning & Sorting
Accepted lots go through mechanical and manual cleaning to remove debris, dust, and defective pieces. Size grading and color sorting are performed to meet buyer specifications and export grade standards.
Drying & Moisture Control
Commodities are sun-dried or mechanically dried to reach target moisture levels specified by the buyer or export standard. Digital moisture meters are used for verification at multiple checkpoints during the drying process.
Lab Testing
Representative samples from each batch are tested for moisture content, ash content, volatile oil levels, curcumin levels (for turmeric), SHU rating (for chili), and microbial load. Test results are documented per batch and available to buyers upon request.
Packaging & Labeling
Finished commodities are packed in food-grade PP woven bags or as per buyer specification. Each package is labeled with batch number, net weight, production date, and origin. Packaging is sealed and palletized for container loading.
Storage Standards
Our warehouse protocols maintain commodity integrity from processing through shipment.
Temperature Control
Temperature-controlled warehouse environment to prevent heat-induced degradation.
Humidity Monitoring
Continuous humidity monitoring to maintain optimal storage moisture levels.
Pest Management
Active pest management protocol with regular inspections and preventive treatment.
FIFO Inventory
First In, First Out system ensures oldest stock ships first. No stale inventory.
Separate Storage Zones
Dedicated zones for different commodity types prevent cross-contamination and odor transfer.
Certifications
Nagari Direct operates under the compliance framework of Indonesian food safety regulations (BPOM) and export standards set by the Ministry of Trade. Batch-level certification and additional export documents are available upon request.
